An Introduction to What Civil Legal Service Providers Need to Know

Victim Rights Law Center is delighted to present this 90-minute panel discussion webinar for OVW-funded attorneys who are interested in learning more about restorative justice as a possible venue for sexual assault survivors seeking justice in the legal system. This discussion-based program features guest speakers experienced with restorative justice approaches in higher education, the criminal justice system, and within community-based advocacy programs. The conversation with the panelists includes segments addressing the origins, basic tenets, and models of restorative justice; how it is employed in sexual assault cases; the role of attorneys in the process; and an examination of potential risks and benefits for your survivor clients.
