Civil Legal Help for Sexual Assault Survivors:

A Virtual Training for VRLC’s Pro Bono Program

Wednesday, May 1
11:00 am – 12:30 pm
1.5 Access to Justice CLE Credits*

Please join the Victim Rights Law Center for a virtual presentation about volunteering with its pro bono program. The VRLC is the only nonprofit organization in Oregon dedicated to providing free legal representation to sexual assault survivors. During this fast-paced, thought-provoking workshop, you’ll learn about the devastating impact that sexual violence can have on a victim’s privacy, safety, employment, education, housing, and financial stability; how the VRLC works with survivors to address those issues; and what you can do to help.

Who should attend? This program is for any Oregon attorney who wants to improve sexual assault survivors’ access to justice. We ask that attendees commit to taking on at least one pro bono legal matter or research project (each of which typically takes about 5-15 hours) within the next year.

RSVP: Please sign up by Friday April 26, 2024.
